A little bird in love,
flies to the sky every morn,
to meet her beloved sun.
Sun doesn't love her,
becomes hotter with anger,
as the bird reaches nearer.
In the scorching heat,
the bird beats a retreat,
to return next day,
not taking a defeat.
Tired of the little bird's obsession,
Sun plans to teach her a lesson.
Camouflaging itself as moon,
The sun makes stars swoon,
Hoping to deter the bird soon.
Seeing the sun's foreplay,
The bird cries for days,
Then goes to sleep to escape.
Since then for centuries,
Birds fly in the mornings,
to the sun in the sky,
and sleep in the night,
to forget and wake up next day,
to fly to see their beloved again.
